CueTrack™ - "Stroke and Alignment Evaluation"

Shot 1 of 5

Use follow to shoot the cue ball to the end rail so it rebounds between the two object balls and back to the center of your cue tip.

Set Up:
Use a practice ball or a high numbered ball with a continuous center line for the cue ball.
Set the cue directly on the head spot. Set two object balls on either side of the foot spot, two ball widths (4-1/2") apart.

Execution:
Shoot the cue ball directly through the middle diamond on the opposite rail striking the cue ball slightly above center with no english.
After delivering the stroke, freeze the cue stick. (Don't move the cue, no matter where the stick ends up)

Expected results:
The center line on the cue ball should not appear to wobble as it travels. Tip
The cue ball should not have any side spin. Tip
Your cue stick should end up directly over the line of aim. Tip
The cue ball should rebound off the end rail and come back to hit the center of your cue tip without touching the two balls on either side of the line of aim. Tip

What to do to Improve:
Mark all ball locations with notebook hole reinforcement labels. Set CueTrack on a tri-pod behind the table, aligned on the line of aim. Make certain that your set-up is perfect and proceed to practice this shot over and over. During your practice strokes focus on where the cue tip meets the cue ball. Take careful note of the line of aim and be sure CueTrack and your cue are lined up on that line of aim to develop a proper mental picture of the shot. Finally, deliver the perfect stroke. Once you are able to make the shot with CueTrack, try it again without CueTrack and pay close attention to the line of aim and where your cue stick lands after delivering the stroke. The cue should be directly on the line of aim.
