CueTrack Stroke Training - develop and maintain a straight stroke.

Using CueTrack™ without pool balls
We recommend that you spend a considerable amount of time using CueTrack™ without hitting pool balls. Using CueTrack™ in this manner allows you to focus solely on your stroke training without the need to concentrate on alignment, aiming, or hitting balls. Your goal is to feel a straight stroke and to remember that feeling.

You start by sliding the adaptor sleeve onto your pool cue. Then place the CueTrack™ base on your pool table or any flat surface. (This means you don't need a pool table to enjoy the benefits of CueTrack). With the adaptor sleeve properly mounted on your pool cue, you simply assume your normal pool stance while placing your pool cue between the upright guideposts. After forming a solid bridge with your front hand, you begin taking practice strokes. Each stroke should be extremely slow and deliberate so that you can feel what a straight stroke is like. It is this feeling that you reproduce at the table when you are playing without CueTrack™.

Using CueTrack™ in this manner each day will allow you to develop and maintain a perfectly straight pool stroke that will serve you well for years to come!

Using CueTrack™ with pool balls
When executing a shot with CueTrack™, you simply place the base on the pool table so that when you are in your stance, the base is directly under your chin and centered under the adaptor sleeve. Carefully align your shot by moving the base on the exact line of aim. Then take your practice strokes and finally execute a perfectly straight delivery stroke.

By raising or lowering your stick in CueTrack™, you can apply draw or follow to your shot. You can also change the angle of the base to apply English to the cue ball. We recommend marking the ball positions with notebook hole reinforcement labels on the table and shooting the same shot over and over. This will teach you to properly align your cue to the correct line of aim, as well as develop the correct muscle memory to deliver a perfectly straight stroke.

Shooting shots off the rail
The CueTrack™ design allows the base to be mounted to any standard camera tripod. This feature allows you to practice shooting shots where the cue ball is close to the rail. Simply bolt your CueTrack™ to your tripod as you would any camera. Then position the tripod and base next to the table and adjust its height to accommodate a level cue. Place your cue stick between the guideposts and you are ready to practice one of the most difficult shots in pool.

Using CueTrack with an Elevated Cue
If you want to practice shots where the back of the cue is elevated, simply mount your CueTrack™ to a camera tripod and elevate the tripod to the proper height and tilt the base forward. Again, we recommend marking the ball positions so you can repeat the same shot over and over. This allows you to see the correct alignment for the shot as well as practice delivering a straight pool stroke.
